PSSA display at the 2025 Woodford Avro Wings & Wheels Event

Over the weekend 12th/13th July a number of the NW based PSSA members worked as a team and put on a 2 day static display of models at the annual Avro Wings and Wheels event, held at the Avro Heritage Museum, Woodford in Cheshire.

The weekend was hot and sticky, with temperatures around 30 degrees, but having set up the site with 3 gazebos, the 2 x BMFA flight simulators, and with over 20 PSS models on display, we enjoyed meeting and greeting the public visitors and answering their many questions about our division of the hobby throughout the event.

There was plenty to see and do on the ground, with classic and sports cars, military vehicles, Merlin engine runs, open cockpits – as well as in the air, with a flypast from the BBMF Lancaster over its original birthplace.
