Power Scale Soaring is an exciting dimension in Radio Controlled model slope soaring!

PSS is all about building and flying scale model gliders of full sized jet, rocket or piston powered aircraft, excluding powered gliders. These basic guidelines enable the modeller to construct slope soarers based on a huge variety of full sized aircraft.  This is demonstrated by the vast array and diversity of model designs seen soaring over the years.

We hold events at various soaring locations around the UK between April and October, and often arrange informal meetings at various museums, model shows and air shows throughout the year.

Our Fly-for-Fun meetings typically take place over a weekend and as well as the model flying usually involve food, fun, and frivolity!

We'll  often run informal competitions for prizes sometimes donated by manufacturers of the products we use for building PSS models.

In recent years we have run Mass Build projects which have proven very popular and through media coverage have helped introduce many newcomers to our division of the sport.  We'll choose a subject to model, usually every 2 years, then produce our own PSS plans and kitted parts, with a view to staging a Fly-In towards the end of that particular season.
