‘PSS Fest’ runs at the magnificent Lleyn peninsula
We have just returned from flying as guests of the Lleyn MAC upon the slopes of the Lleyn peninsula between 28th June and 6th July inclusive, with many of our members flying throughout that period – a true ‘Festival of PSS’ and slope soaring.
The weather was very kind for the majority of the time, with some excellent PSS conditions enjoyed on the various slopes, dictated by the Northerly, North Westerly and South Westerly winds experienced over our time there.
A huge amount of flying was achieved with a wide range of models suited to all conditions of slope soaring from the lightest of PSS floaters to the heavily loaded models which revel on these big coastal cliffs. More photos from the event can now be viewed HERE and a write up will be available at some point soon. The title picture shows the group photo captured on the SW facing bowl on Saturday 5th July.
