PSSA Dambusters tribute at Great Orme event in May

The weekend 20th/21st May 2023 will see us return to the Great Orme in Llandudno for the first of three planned Fly for Fun events at this location.

In May 1943 RAF 617 Sqn undertook Operation Chastise – a novel and dangerous low level bombing raid on the dams of the Rhur Valley, West Germany – commonly referred to as ‘The Dambusters’ raid with its famous Bouncing Bombs and the legendary Avro Lancaster.

May 2023 marks the 80th Anniversary of this raid, and we will be holding a Lancaster themed PSS meet in recognition of this date.

If you have a PSS Lancaster of any scale please ready it for flight and bring it with you to this event – we are hoping to group as many airframes as we can – and will display the models throughout the weekend with a dedicated pitting/viewing area and with Lancaster flying slots.  There will be prizes and mementos from the event – all with a Dambusters theme.
