A welcome return to PSS flying at the Orme!
We’ve staged our first meet of 2020 upon the Great Orme with a Fly-for-Fun event held in glorious conditions 11th & 12th July.
Social distancing and the use of hand sanitiser and disposable gloves ensured we operated the models in a safe manner and all who attended enjoyed the flying over the 2 days. NW winds on the Saturday saw us flying from the cafe slope, whilst the wind (once it had finally arrived at 2pm) on Sunday afternoon saw us flying in superb lift on the main SW tank track slope.
The winter break combined with the Covid-19 enforced delay to proceedings this season meant we saw a wealth of new models on display, including this stunning Jet Provost built by Steve Kemp to the new 150% scale PSS plans by Andy Blackburn.
A fuller event report will be added to the site soon.
