We’re ready to launch the 2020 Mass Build Project
We will very soon be releasing details regarding the 2020 Mass Build Project – the North American F-86 Sabre!

We’ve listened to previous participant feedback about the difficulties of building to a deadline over the Summer months, so we’re aiming to start the build from 1st November 2019 allowing us to utilise the time over Winter to be well ready for an event to be held in June 2020.
More details about the model and how to order the comprehensive 2-sheet plan, superb CNC woodpack and canopy will be released later this week!
I hope that amongst the schemes featured we will see reproductions of the RAF Canadair Mk4 Sabres, 2 squadrons of which, 66 and 92 squadrons, were based at Linton-on-Ouse near York from late 1953 to mid 1956. Winkle Brown stated in his autobiography that the Sabre was the nicest handling of all the jet aircraft he flew, and I have read elsewhere that the Canadair Mk4s were the best of them all. I had my 10th birthday a couple of weeks after they arrived and as I lived close enough to Linton to see the movements I had a wonderful two and a half years of watching them, often cycling to the point on the country lane close to the runway end to get a grandstand view. How I wish I had owned a good camera!
I still have the sabre built from plans from RCME nov 1990. However I live in Northern Ireland and will be unlikely to make it over to Wales.

Built from the Ron Collins plan Bob?? The 2020 Mass Build is a new plan, larger and a more refined scale model than the earlier plans we had available.
