John Plumbley provides a textbook launch to the superb Hawker Tempest V built and flown by Gareth Logan. The photo was taken during the April 2000 Hole of Horecum PSS meeting.

Based on  the plans by Brian Taylor, with weight saving modifications, this impressive 1/8th scale model has a span of 61.5" and weighs in just under 6lbs.

Gareth took 1st place with the Tempest for both "Best Flown Propeller" model and "Most Realistic Flight" at this meeting.
