Simon Cocker lends scale to his awesome Antonov An-225 Mriya

This model was featured in the 1997 Guinness Book of Records as the largest ever flying radio controlled model.  It spans almost 6m and weighs in at 25kg.  It is fitted with working flaps and an aerotow release system under the nose.

This shot shows the Russian Space Shuttle 'Buran', itself a radio controlled model glider, mounted piggy back on the An-225 mothership.

The Buran weighs 10lbs and has been test flown of the slope.  It can be released from the An-225 in the air and controlled down to the landing zone by a second modeller.
