The Vought A-7 Corsair II Collection

The US Navy carrier borne ground attack aircraft has been modelled successfully for PSS as demonstrated by the following examples;

Scratch built Vought A-7 Corsair by Jose Pain.  Model was based on an electric plan from Q&EFI magazine, scaled up and modified by Jose for use on the slope.

It is of all balsa construction with an Eppler 374 sheeted foam core wing.  It spans 40" and has an AUW of 29oz.

Steve Howarth attended the June 2009 Great Orme PSS Fly-In with his A-7 Corsair II built from the plans by Ron Collins.

Simple 2-Channel R/C, this 52" span model is conventionally constructed from balsa with a foam wing and has an AUW of just over 4lbs.

Vought A-7 Corsair II designed and built by Ian Simmonds. Model spans 52" and has an AUW of 4.75lbs. It has a foam/veneered wing using the Eppler 205 wing section and a fully built up fuselage.

The model uses 4 channel radio, for Aileron, Elevator, Rudder and Flaps.
