Andy Ward has built this impressive English Electric Lightning, from the now vintage plans by Richard Green. Model spans 48" and has an AUW of 3.4lb. It is of conventional construction, with a balsa and ply fuselage and veneered foam core wing. Like the full-size machine it has an all moving tailplane and is controlled using 2 channel radio for elevators and ailerons. |

the model in flamboyant silver and red to represent an F.6 Lightning of 56
Sqn 'The Firebirds'. It is covered in an aluminium tape and finished with vinyl film and decals from Pyramid models. |
